Bio

Hello! My name is Katy, and I love to play the violin. I love sharing my arrangements and original music, and I hope that it will inspire others to play and create new music!

I started to play the violin when I was 9 years old, and played consistently until I was 20.  After that, I decided to focus a lot more on my university studies, and put my violin away.  Time flew by, and before I knew it, I hadn’t really played in 5 years!  I remembered how much fun music was, so I decided to participate in a local Irish fiddle jam.  It sparked a small flame, and I started to play again!

I started to post my music arrangements on the Internet, and I discovered that producing music and creating videos is so much fun!  I’m slowly navigating the world of music production — it’s a complicated world, but I’m learning a lot!

Some viewers have asked for my sheet music arrangements and tutorials.  I have put many sheet music arrangements on my “Golden Aspen Music” store under “Free Stuff,” and I have many by-ear walk-through tutorials available on YouTube (linked in the top menu banner). :)
